Asking Parents for Reviews
If you'd like to make a few extra $$ with minimal effort, please help promote Brooklyn Math Tutors by directing satisfied clients to leave us a review on Google.
You’ll receive a $50 review bonus for each family that leaves us a review on our Google business page. Leaving Google reviews is easiest for customers who have a Gmail account.

The best time to ask for a review is right after a positive event. For example:
- Student gets back a test with a much-improved grade
- Positive comments from parents regarding the student's attitude towards math
- Improved grade at the end of a marking period or a semester
How to Ask Parents for a Review
There are two ways to ask parents for a review. Either strategy is fine and will depend on your rapport with the client and your comfort level with asking directly.
Strategy 1 - Ask BMT
The easiest way is to get clients to leave a review is to let the BMT office know that a customer is happy - usually due to some positive event - and is likely to leave us a positive review.
The BMT Office will contact them and ask them to write one. To make this more effective, please send us a quick note with some details that we can use to reference the positive event. For example:
- "Johnny just got back his first math test that he didn't fail - mom is ecstatic. I think this would be a good time to ask for a review”
- "After 4 month of sessions, Susie aced her SAT and got accepted to Harvard, Yale, AND Space Camp. I think they are happy."
Strategy 2 - DIY
The second strategy is to ask parents directly yourself.
If you'd like to ask a customer directly by email and you want something to start from, let the BMT office know, and we can provide you with an email template. Leaving reviews is easiest for customers who have a Gmail account.
